Fuchsia
This blog is a labour of love, and it will always be free. Over 1,000 people read every post which is incredible. And if just 100 people donate €2 it means that I’ll be able to continue doing all of this for another year. So if you like the work, it would mean the world to me if you considered making a donation. Thank you to everyone who already has this year. There’s no expectations, as ever, and I hope you have a lovely week. Donate here
There is also now a Thoughts Too Loud Podcast!
I won’t lie to ye lads, I’m quite hungover. I had too much fun and now I’m paying for it. Such is life.
Anyway, there are lots of exciting things happening. I’ll tell ye all about them as they come to fruition. However, today myself and Throwing Snow released our second collaboration, a track called ‘Fuchsia’ featuring Augustus Ghost.
The track interrogates anti-immigration rhetoric that’s growing in Ireland. It questions how some people are using the guise of ‘protecting women’ to persecute immigrant people in Ireland. I call it a guise because, when white Irish people commit the same terrible crimes, they don’t seem to care.
This division works as a distraction. The government is happy when we’re at each other’s necks because it means we aren’t placing the blame on the correct people – the ones running the country.
You can listen to Fuchsia wherever you listen to music. I hope you enjoy.
