Poem: If I Ever Have Boys

Poem: If I Ever Have Boys
This blog is a labour of love, and it will always be free. Over 1,000 people read every post which is incredible. And if just 100 people donate €2 it means that I’ll be able to continue doing all of this for another year. So if you like the work, it would mean the world to me if you considered making a donation. Thank you to everyone who already has this year. There’s no expectations, as ever, and I hope you have a lovely week. Donate here
There is also now a Thoughts Too Loud Podcast!
You can never predict what’ll resonate. A lesson I was reminded of again this week. You just never really know. These last few days have been a reminder of how much I love using words to connect with people. How much of an impact it can have, both on yourself and me.
Sadly, I can’t post the poem here. I wish I could, and hopefully in time, I will be able to. The reason I can’t is because, if I do, I won’t be able to get it published anywhere. As posting it here will be considered publication. So I will wait until it gets accepted before posting it here – but I will do it.
That said, you can purchase a downloadable copy of it if you like. I’ll leave that up to you. So many people have already, and it means so much.
This week has been so wonderful, so wholesome. It may not seem like a big deal to many, but it is to me. And I just wanted to say thank you for all the love you gave the poem.
And to note, this poem is a response to poem by Lucas Jones called ‘Dangerous Men’. If you liked my response, I’d highly recommend checking out Lucas’ poem, too.
